Safety Center

Every person on Ondami is a verified adult. Here's how we protect you, and how to protect yourself.

In immediate danger? Contact your local emergency services right away. Then report the person in the app so we can act.

What we do

Verify everyone

ID and selfie checks at signup. No one under 18, and banned people can't rejoin.

Never record dates

Live video dates aren't recorded or stored.

Comfort View

Blurs nudity on your screen during video dates. On by default, your choice to turn off.

Act fast on reports

Serious reports suspend the account while we review, within 24 hours.

Before and during a video date

  • Keep the conversation on Ondami until you trust the person.
  • Don't share your home address, workplace, or financial details.
  • You can end any call at any time. You don't owe anyone an explanation.
  • Recording or screenshotting someone without their consent breaks our rules. Report it.

Spotting scams

Report anyone who:

  • Asks for money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or help with a "investment".
  • Avoids video, or pushes you to move to another app right away.
  • Has a sudden emergency that only you can help with.
  • Professes strong feelings very quickly and asks for secrecy.

Ondami will never ask for your password or payment details by email or message.

Meeting in person

  • Meet in a busy public place, and get there and back on your own.
  • Tell a friend where and when you're going. Use Share date plans in the app.
  • Keep your phone charged and stay aware of how much you're drinking.
  • Leave whenever you want. Trust your instincts.

If something goes wrong

  • Report the person in the app: on their profile, in a call, or in chat.
  • Email safety@ondami.com with details.
  • We work with law enforcement when the law requires it, and we keep records of bans so people can't return.

Support services differ by country. We publish local help resources for each city when it opens. Read our Community Guidelines to see what's not allowed.
